Jesus is Looking
Luke 19:10 - For the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
The Heavenly Father is seeking worshipers; the Spirit is seeking His fruit in our lives; and Jesus is seeking the lost. This is why He came, and this is why He died.
Someone must look after sinners simply because they are lost! Andrew went to find his brother Simon (John 1:41). Just as some concerned soul-winners had to come to find you and me.
The Lord Jesus found lost sinners everywhere He went. He found them by the seashore, at the dinner table, in the synagogue and even up a tree. Of course, the sinner does not realize he is lost, but that makes it even worse. “All we like sheep have gone astray” (Isaiah 53:6)
Are you walking with the Saviour and seeking the lost? Do you have a sincere burden for souls? There are opportunities to witness for Christ daily, if we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.
Here is a suggestion: in your daily devotional time, ask the Lord to make you a soul-winner and to use you that day to speak to someone about Christ. Then be sensitive and obedient to His leading. It will amaze you as you watch the Lord go before you to prepare the way. And it will bless you as you seek the lost and bring them to Christ.
