Hope
Romans 15:4 - For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
The Merriam – Webster dictionary defines hope as follows – “to cherish a desire with anticipation.”It is looking forward to something we know will happen. Hope helps us, as believers to have a positive attitude about the future. The old hymn goes like this, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.”
We are commanded in 1 Peter 3:15 - But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
As believers who are living in hope there is a certain look in our countenance that will cause some to ask what is different about you. That gives believers an opportunity to witness, to testify of the saving grace and goodness of our Heavenly Father.
We see in the King James Bible the word hope 130 times, study it, apply it so that you can say as the Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 1:12 - For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
May you abound with all hope as we learn in Romans 15:13 - Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
