Lots of Questions

"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."  Matthew 11:29

Have you ever known someone who had lots of questions about God and the Bible? No matter how many you answered, they always had more!

Our faith can stand up to any question, but sometimes people ask questions---and keep asking questions---just to avoid facing their own spiritual needs and acknowledging who Jesus really is. Their questions may only be an excuse to keep from turning their life over to Christ.

In that situation, consider asking this question: "If I could answer every question you have, would you be willing to repent of your sins and commit  your life to Jesus?" If they are honest, their answer may be no---but even if it is, let them know you still care about them and want to be their friend. But don't hesitate to warn them that someday they "shall give account to Him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead" (1 Peter 4:5).

In addition, make sure your friends know what the gospel is. Many people really don't understand it---although they think they do. Never give up hoping that someday they will give their life to Jesus.

And of course pray for them---only God can change hearts.
