Eternal Security 2

 

We are looking at the importance of eternal security. In Part One, we learned that lack of growth spiritually and lack of morals affect us here, but they do not change the fact that as believers we are children of God.

 

What does the Word teach about Lack of Judgment?

Read II Peter 2:7-8

Here we read that Lot vexed or oppressed his righteous soul by living among the sinners of Sodom and Gomorrah. He had made bad choices, he had shown bad judgment, but his soul was still right or just before God.

Thank God that Jesus is our security

1 Peter 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 

1 Peter 1:4  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 

1 Peter 1:5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 

 

John 10:27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 

John 10:28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 

John 10:29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 

 

Romans 8:38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 

Romans 8:39  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
