Interested or Committed
God uses folks who are committed. There is a huge difference between interest and commitment. When you are interested in doing something, you do it only when it is convenient. When you are committed to something, you accept no excuses!
God gives us examples in His Word; In Genesis we learn Cain was interested, but Abel was committed. Also, in Genesis we learn that Lot was interested, but Abraham was committed. In Judges we learn Samson was interested, but Samuel was committed. In the Gospels we learn Judas was interested, but Peter was committed. In Acts we learn John Mark was interested, but Paul was committed. In Acts we learn Annanias and Sapphira were interested, but Barnabas was committed.
Lou Holtz says, “The kamikaze pilot who was able to fly 50 missions was interested ---but never committed. God uses ordinary people who are willing to commit. Without commitment, there can be no success.
