Wait for Him
Psalm 27:14 - Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Today, you may be thinking, I just don’t know if I really have confidence that God will help me. I feel like I need an answer right now.
I understand feeling that way. However, I would point out there are many aspects of your life that you entrust to others. You trust doctors with your health, financial advisors with your retirement, and accountants with your taxes – and you will wait until they finish their work. No matter how skilled and trustworthy these experts are, is not God even more so?
It’s crucial for you to grasp how reliable the Father is to lead you, because you are making your choices based on what you believe about Him. Though it’s true that sometimes the people you count on will let you down or make judgments without all the facts, the Lord never will. God does not cheat, fail, or forsake you as others might. Rather, if He is delaying on giving you an answer, it is for a worthy reason that is for your ultimate good.
So, as today’s verse says, wait for him. Listen for His answer. Do not despair. God will answer in His perfect time, in a manner that will genuinely bless you.
