God’s Good Will
Psalm 145:8-9 - The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
Romans 12:2 tells us that the will of God is “good and acceptable and perfect.” It doesn’t say that the Lord’s will for you will be unbearable, that you will hate it, or that it will ruin your life. On the contrary, what the Father envisions for you is absolutely wonderful and praiseworthy.
Therefore, today think about the fact that God’s will is good, The Lord’s plan is morally honorable, excellent, and beneficial to you. It may not appear so at first. There have been times in my life when I told the Father that the trials and pressures He was allowing seemed far from good. However, we always must remember the promise of Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
The Father is very careful about what He permits to touch your life. Why? Because He Himself is good. Why would we ever expect the will of God to be anything other than beneficial and honorable when both the nature and character of our heavenly Father are good. Therefore, today, rejoice in the fact that His will for you is wonderful.
