Jesus Prayed For You

John 17:1-26

As Christians, (people who are Christ like) how are we doing with our responsibilities here?

In verse 4 Jesus reminds God that He has finished the work that the Heavenly Father had given Him to do!

Glorified God, verse 4, “I have glorified Thee on earth.” Are you glorifying God? To glorify means to honor, to magnify! Are you magnifying God in your life? Are you honoring God by your life?

Manifested God’s Name, verse 6, “I have manifested Thy Name unto the men which Thou gavest me out of the world…” To manifest means to show, are you showing others God in your life, in your love and in your loyalty to Him?

Gave them God’s Word, verse 8, “For I have given unto them the words which Thou gavest me;…” Are you teaching others the Word that God has given unto you?

Jesus Prayed for them, verse 9, “I prayed for them.” Who are you praying for? A lot can be understood about a person in the way they pray. I’m not talking about using fancy thee’s and thou’s, I’m talking about an humbleness before an Almighty God that can pray, “Be merciful to me a sinner!”

  1. What are you doing about glorifying God?
  2. How are you doing manifesting God’s Name?
  3. Are you willing to plant the Seed to get the Word to everyone?
  1. Are you praying for others? James 5:16 - The effectual fervent    prayer of a righteous man availeth much!
