Action is the Result of Faith

Hebrews 11:13
"Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,"

Faith is the core of the Christian life.  According to Hebrews 11:6, without faith we cannot please God.  Our Christian life started by faith, and should continue through faith.  Without exercising our faith, we would not be saved.  Likewise, without exercising your faith, you cannot be the Christian that God wants you to be.

Faith is one of those words that is hard to explain, yet God explains it in Hebrews 11:1 when He says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." According to this verse, faith is hoping for something that you cannot see.

Yet, when we look at Hebrews 11:13, we find that the evidence of faith is action.  It is interesting that throughout the whole chapter of Hebrews 11, the faith of the saints caused them to do something.  Faith without action is dead.

If a person has faith, then action will follow.  For example, you got saved through faith.  How was it that you exercised your faith?  The faith you had that God could save you caused you to ask Jesus Christ to be your Saviour.  Faith will always cause an action.  If there is no action, then there is no faith.
